This essay will be investigating the relationship between Postmodern theories of Hyperreality in relation to Sigmund Frued's theory of 'The Uncanny', in order to determine whether The Uncanny can be considered an element of Postmodernism. Making reference to the works of Jean Baudrillard, Umberto Eco and Sigmund Freud, the essay will begin by investigating and determining the common traits of both Hyperreality and The Uncanny, with the aim of developing a general definition and overview of each term. Using the information gathered, the investigation will continue by analysing and examining various examples of visual culture, including the work of artist Duane Hanson and Anatomist Gunther Von Hagens. The examples will be disected and their structure deconstructed in order to discover which of their elements make them fall into either categories of Hyperreality or The Uncanny. The essay will conclude by summarising any similarities found between the theories within these examples, and ultimately, determine whether the Uncanny can be considered a viable element of Postmodern thinking.

I think you may need to plump up the postmodernism content by defining it actively at the start of your assignment, but doing so with a view to introducing hyperreality. I think you might need to more boldly suggest that 'the uncanny' is a peculiarly postmodern trait because it associates so closely with hyperrealism. Phrased like this, you then HAVE to define postmodernism within the context of the argument, as right now you're not quite. You could attempt something like this:
Postmodernism is difficult to define (explain why) but has some key characteristics that can be defined less problematically (Give examples - concluding with Hyperrealism). Hyperrealism is defined by a key characteristic of its own - 'the uncanny'. Ergo - the uncanny can be argued as a key characteristic of postmodernism.
You know, it occurred to me as I was reading your plan that maybe 'the uncanny' and its involuntary interrogation of the real/fake/too real might work as a challenge to Baudrillard's idea that we're in the third order of the simulacrum; Baudrillard appears to argue that we're in a phase (characterised as postmodernist) in which we can no longer tell the difference between the simulacrum and the real - but what is the uncanny experience if not evidence to the contrary of our apparent incapacity for recognising 'too real' fakery? We evidently DO recognise the simulacrum - and the experience of recognition is called 'the uncanny'... discuss!
In short, I think you need to deal with postmodernism more explicitly and in so doing more boldly establish the endeavour of your argument, which is to investigate the uncanny as an 'overlooked' key characteristic of postmodern culture.
