Adaptation: Pre-Vis- Shot_01 Playblast

Pre-Vis- Shot_01 Playblast

This is the first shot of the Pre-Vis for the kitchen environment. Its incredibly robotic, but you get the idea. I'm using the Eleven Rig from 11 Second Club, as I needed a rigged character with a lot more hand dexterity than the standard Pre-Vis characters I've used in the past.

Just a quick set for a section of my pre-vis.

Further Environment Concepts

This is a snippet of a larger concept I've been developing, showing a small greengrocers, heavily inspired by the work featured in my previous research post, here.
It is a lot closer to what I had in mind than my previous concepts, although I'm still unsure whether it will look right next to the semi-realistic design of the Housewife character. Whilst the character is stylised, she isn't this stylised. I think a stricter, cleaner and more contemporary approach to the 1950's aesthetic may be more suitable. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Adaptation: Housewife Model Progress 4/3/13

Housewife Model Progress 4/3/13

I've made a start on the model for the Housewife character. I've yet to model her arms, as I still need to draft up the template to work from. Its looking okay at this early stage, although putting the collar in place was proving to be a bit of a nightmare, to the extent that I may remodel it as it looks as though it has sculpted out of the dress instead of a folded portion of fabric.

Adaptation: Revised Marionette Turnaround

Revised Marionette Turnaround

This is the revised design for the Marionette character. I think it turned out a bit better this time around than it did before. I refrained from applying the same paper-y textures as I did for the Housewife, and it gave it this more falsified, glossy appearance.

Adaptation: Revised Housewife Turnaround

Revised Housewife Turnaround

This is the Housewife turnaround revised in response to Alan's feedback in my tutorial. She is (hopefully) more proportionally accurate and marginally taller than the original turnaround. I feel like she has this odd Grange Hill comic strip vibe about her design, but to be honest, I've been staring at this so long, she could look like anything by this point.
